LAPD Mistakes a Statue of Ghost from Call of Duty and Tries to Stop

Given a false alarm, on Thursday night 30 police in Los Angeles went to the offices of Robotoki, game developers, mistaking the statue of Simon “Ghost” Riley the game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, with a gunman.

According to Robert Bowling, founder of Robotoki, a designer who had no idea what it did the security button pressed it, causing a 911 call warning that the police department took as real, so they sent four policemen.

Bowling explained that the studio is equipped with a panic alarm in case of an armed threat. It was installed last Wednesday. Further commented that installed the system, since developing this kind of games every so often face threats and Robotoki although so far not received any, Bowling has experience threats from the days when he worked at Infinity Ward.
