The Japanese company has renewed almost its entire range of laptops, and in that catalog come the Sony VAIO Fit, more modest in performance but with some interesting features.

This new range debuts with four different models: Sony VAIO Fit 14E and 14, with 14-inch screen, and Sony VAIO Fit 15E and 15. The models with the suffix “E” are distinguished by their attention to the sound system, while models without this suffix are characterized by aluminum housing.

The Fit range models are aimed at a mid-range product, something that shows the performance and design of these laptops, thicker and heavier, no-Ultrabook concept as its prices much more affordable for all users.

Sony VAIO Fit 14E and 15E

The Fit Series models with the suffix “E” include a sound system with speakers especially remarkable 2.5 times larger than normal to allow for additional volume and sound quality. In the model VAIO Fit 15E also integrates a subwoofer further enhances these benefits.

Available configurations include several models with Intel Core i3, i5 and, in the case of 15E, i7, but with one important detail: this is not the models of the new family Haswell, but third-generation processor, the known Ivy Bridge.

The RAM can be 4, 6 and 8 GB, while touchscreens (though there are non-touch screen versions) of 14 and 15.5 inches of these models has a resolution of 1,366 × 768 pixels. To that accompany them discrete graphics processors NVIDIA GeForce 740M with 1GB of video memory, combined with Intel HD 4000 graphics and traditional Ivy Bridge.

They also have DVD burner (Blu-ray option also available), and a whole cast of ports: Ethernet, two USB 2.0, one USB 3.0, one USB 3.0 with charging, HDMI, or card reader. The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity it joins the NFC chip that is present in the entire catalog of new notebooks and netbooks from Sony.

The weight of these models is 2.7 kg for the model with 15-inch touch screen and 2.5 kg for the non-touch. In the case of 14 inches have weights of 2.4 kg to 2.2 kg touch pattern for the non-touch.

A models “E” are added to standard models, which are more powerful and offer better performance in several sections. In fact, the 14-inch model is only available with an Intel Core i5 3337U, while 15 inches may integrate the micro or the Core i7 3537U, which as we mentioned belong to the Ivy Bridge family.

These laptops also have a feature that distinguishes it from the above. As already mentioned, in its design comes in. aluminum that gives a more professional look and increases the resistance to shock or impact on your case.

The RAM is 8GB standard, and we have hybrid hard disk drives that can be two: either the drive with a cache 1Tbyte 8GB NAND Flash or 750 Mbytes drive with the same cache.

The model with 15.5 inch touch screen offers resolutions of 1,920 × 1,080 points, 1,600 × 900-pixel 14-inch model. At those resolutions helps the NVIDIA GeForce 735m HT with 2GB of video memory and that works in conjunction with the Intel HD 4000 integrated GPUs in Ivy Bridge misc.

We have the same connection port versions “E”, and the weights of these models (no option for non-touch screen) are 2.2 kg for the 14-inch model and 2.6 kg for the model 15.5 inch.

Availability and Pricing

The Sony VAIO E Fit 14, 14, 15 and 15E are available in our country at the end of June at prices ranging from 520 to 900 euros for versions E and from 1,000 to 1,200 euros depending on model configurations “standard”.
