With the launch of Sony Ericsson’s latest Xperia flagship, the company is going to the top of charts. The Sony Xperia Z has managed to get all those things that are required for a Smartphone to compete others. It is hoped that it will give a real tough time to competitors like Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5. The best thing about Xperia series is that we continuously see new looks. Xperia S proves to be more of a human curvature while Xperia T was back to the curves and now with Xperia Z we are experiencing sharp edges. Sony does not give us any chance to lament about not changing the looks as we do with Apple’s iPhone. Xperia Z can be proved to be the most attractive of the lot with its highly thin 7mm chasis, quad core Qualcomm processor and 5-inch 1080p screen. In short we can say that Xperia Z is the most powerful and smartest phone Sony ever made.

As mentioned that Xperia Z has a 1080p 5-inch screen, it is both the impressive and disappointing thing. Well impressive because it is very pin sharp with a post-400 PPI and lovable contrast ratios. The most interesting thing is that display is very close to the edges. However, when we say disappointment, its because it lacks the impression of super AMOLED screen. When looked slightly off the angle, you will notice the washed out display, as compared to Galaxy S3 that gives printed-on display. But it’s not a big deal as most of the time you will be looking straight at the phone for 99 percent of time.

Xperia Z feels premium in the hand with light enough to be impressive and heavy enough to get decent deal for money. The most distinctive feature of Xperia Z is that its water and dust resistant. You will surly be surprised when it falls from your hand easily survive. Just ensure that all clips are on the places and covered. The user interface of Xperia Z is also superb, giving pure pleasure to the user. It uses Android Jelly Bean 4.1 and upgradable. This software is supported by mind-blowing hardware. Xperia Z runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 quad core 1.5 GHz CPU and Adreno 320 GPU with Heavy 2GB RAM. Its internal memory is 16 GB with micro SD slot.

The accurate dimensions of Xperia Z are 5.47 x 2.80 x 0.31 inch, with weight of only 146 grams. Moreover, it is IP57 certified for water and dust resistant. It can resist water for up to 30 minutes for maximum depth of 1 meter. Xperia Z has also surpassed expectations for its camera result. It is supported by a 13.1 MP camera with 4128×3096 pixels, auto focus and LED flash. For high quality video calls, its secondary camera is of 2.2MP. Most of all its camera is supported by Exmor RS camera sensor with HDR video and 9MP burst mode at 10 fps.

Sony has claimed that with Xperia Z it has solved the battery drainage problem that all Smartphone face. Xperia Z comes with a heavy battery of 2,330 mAh with Stamina Mode, which dramatically improves the standby time by four times. It is done by automatically shutting down battery draining apps whenever screen is turned off and the apps automatically start when screen is turned on. Due to heavy RAM and processor, user do not faces any lag in-between.
